The majority of my working career after earning a degree in Fashion Design from Bauder College in Atlanta, GA was working as a Makeup Artist.
All of that changed in 2016 while in between jobs and wanting more of a creative outlet I took a trip to my favorite spot, for some inspiration, Nashville’s beautiful public library located downtown, where I checked out a book on watercolor by Jan Kunz called “Watercolor Basics”.
Immediately I fell in love with the way pigment and water worked together to create an image and tell the story of individual faces, places or objects. In that moment I decided to teach myself how to paint using the medium. Thus began my career as a painter.
I feel that art is engaging and it encourages people to communicate and share their thoughts, emotions and ideas. My intent is to share the beauty, the complexity and the fluidity of my art with everyone.
